New Hires
You are eligible for benefits if you are an employee of Ensign Energy Services, and are regularly scheduled to work at least 25 hours per week.
Your benefits begin on the first of the month following your date of hire. For example, if your first day is
March 13th, your benefits will begin on April 1st.
Dependent Eligibility
You can also enroll your family members in our benefits programs. Eligible dependents* include:
- Your legal spouse defined by state law
- Domestic partner (if enrolled in the Kaiser medical plan)
- Your children up to age 26, including biological children, legally adopted children, stepchildren and children deemed eligible under a Qualified Medical Child Support Order (QMCSO), and children with proven legal guardianship as approved by a court
- A child of any age who depends on you for support because of a mental or physical disability
*If found with ineligible dependents, you may be dropped from coverage, held liable for any payments the company made on your behalf, and may face disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Making Changes to Your Coverage
After your new hire enrollment, you may only make changes to your benefits during our annual open enrollment, unless you have a qualifying life event that changes your family status.
Qualifying family status change events include, but are not limited to:
- Marriage, divorce, legal separation, or death of a spouse
- Birth, adoption, placement for adoption, death, or change in custody of a child or dependent
- A change in your or your spouse’s employment that affects your benefits eligibility
If you have a qualifying family status change event, you must log into ADP within 30 days to make changes to your benefit elections related to the event. If you miss the 30-day window, you must wait until the next annual enrollment period to update your coverage.
